Will advise when we've agreed it.

Don't agree that it was too tough to be honest, people should accept that its the w200 and its supposed to be tough! If anything, you could argue that the opening leg to Ashford was quite easy. In the old route, people had the sally Gap to climb after the eqivalent of cycling from RTE to Bray, so a bit of perspective is reqired, I think.
My only gripe is about the dual carriageway at the end, but I accept theres not much you can do about the way traffic is in Dublin these days, even on Sundays.

Fair point.
I was only relating the feedback that we had received.
For me I found the Devil Glen ok : Trooperstown started to get to me to be honest.
It was a good day out though - wasn't it ?
Weather was great.
Hopefully June 12th 2005 will be similar !

are you staying up north or coming down south too? you may want to check out the ring of kerry if you are, i've done it on a few occasions and love it, especially when the weather is good.
anyway, good luck, and let us know how you get on.

The Ring of Kerry indeed. Tut tut.

Just checking out the Irish site as we previously discussed in a link up with the England, Scotland & Wales site. Now that we have our own XES I don't think it's necessary to pursue the matter with Steve any longer. I couldn't resist the ring of kerry, you know how things are. Get some of the Irish lads on XES.

Oh just a joke. American elections. John Kerry- arsehole-ring.
Now then Alan why not join us and Lim on XES site to be found on Bloody soapbox section. It's new and we want more riders with topics, we were all on Eurosport MB 'til they closed it. See if you can find Fergs, and a few others to swell the numbers.

Hi all,
Does anyone have advice on restoring bikes? I'd like to get a repaint job done on a recently acquired cheap second hand bike.
Does W200 have a website? sounds good

The Wicklow 200 - on Sunday 12th June 2005 - will be starting and finishing once again, at RTE.
We've just agreed it with RTE again.

Route is being finalised - will update asap.

It was good to have someone I knew down in Shannon A guy who I raced wit on many occasions called Gary Mc Illroy and who also worked in Shannon Aerospace, Funny enough he quit on the Friday Before I started, after working there For a Year!!.

There was no way I was going to waste a year in that hell hole, I could tell he was really pissed off with the fact he had wasted 12 months of his life when he could have spent it cycling. It was good to have Gary to talk to cos he really made me think. I mean Im only 19 and i want to give Cycling A Good Lash for a year at least.

Im now back home in Balbriggan North Co. Dublin training 16hrs a week for the 2005 FBD Ras. I just booked my flights to Alicante in January for 7 weeks training and I cant wait to get away. No chance of doing that if I was working like a robot filing Fu**ing Aircraft Aluminium.

You are not alone Irelander.

That Shannon Aerospace is a shithole - if I had a euro for the number of people who I've heard who joined and left the place : I'd be able to buy a new Pinarello.

Mate of mine from back home in Dublin wanted to get a career going in Aviation repair : told him not to apply to Shannon Aerospace but he went ahead and got the job.
He left after 1 week.
He told me that he had to sign legal documents (ie.if caught and convicted of say, road traffic offence, he was required to report it to management - and such like) covering his behaviour out of hours from the job.
Money was terrible as well - could only make good money by working massive overtime.
Bet Lufthansa are paying their employees in Germany more than the €8.00 basic per hour in Shannon (they are because the proof has been provided).

Never knock a job, just move on. Bet you some people rely on that place to pay their bills. If you are lucky or brave enough to be able to get work elsewhere then you are flying !!
