HELP!!! New Bike Time
I have just gotton back into biking this past year. I was paralized from the waist down in 97' and I wanted to see if I still could, so I bought a used Trek 830. I can still ride! I need to get a new bike now. I am what is now called a Clydesdale I guess. I am 6' and 210 lbs. What full suspension bikes would anyone recommend for me? I do trails and cross country no downhill or major jumping. I would like to stay below $1000.00. I have heard a lot of good things about the Jamis Dakar for $600.00. Does anyone have any opinions or first hand knowledge? Please feel free to contact me
thanks

if you are looking to spend less than $1200. buy a hardtail.
full suspension under a grand is nothing but a hassle..ie:
hope you like working on your bike,or spending alot at the shop
youtake it to. as far as jamis goes, they make good bikes, but the service is the pits, pray you don't have any warrenty issues, and
full suspension bikes have way more warrenties. buy a trek
product,fisher hardtail-big sur..great bike..check out the fuji line
too,great deals..good service.

The jamis dakar is a great bike for the money. Its one of the few sub $1000 fs bikes I would recomend. The only problem is hope you never have any trouble with the frame. Dealing with Jamis tech support is not easy.

Hecubus is right, their "tech support" and warrenty people
are worthless!
