Veloswap = Velosuck!
I hope that those of you who braved Veloswap, at the Cow Palace today, took the time to give some constructive (read disgruntled) feedback to the organizers!
I had a long chat with the two gals in the back corner where the vendors checked in. I didn't realize that this was their first event at the Cow Palace. They also tried to blame us for not purchasing our tickets in advance! Geez! My list of issues included:
1) No directions from the parking people or any signs indicating to go to the South Entrance for tickets BEFORE getting into line for the swap entrance.
2) Only three ticket windows!
3) No one handling crowd control in front of the ticket windows.
4) No one handling crowd control for the two lines.
5) Contention for space in front of the ticket windows with a bunch of cheerleaders!
My only other disappointment, although it was as swap, was that there weren't more vendors.
Here is the contact information to send feedback to the Veloswap organizers:

I guess I lucked out by arriving late (my son had a late morning soccer game) ~2pm.
No lines, no trouble getting into the South Entrance.
Downside: lots of the merchandise was "picked over" by the time I got there, and there weren't that many vendors, as Steve said.
Upside: I got to chat with Bob Roll, and he autographed his book to my wife (for a surprise Christmas present - she's a bigger TdF fan than I am).

I thought it went well considering it was all new for everybody. I got there at about 11 and I waited in line for about 15-20 minutes before I got my ticket.
I think the big surprise was how many people showed up - what a crowd! Who would have thought so many cyclists would come! I noticed things had thinned out by 2 when I finally left.
My only complaint about the cheerleaders was that there weren't enough older ones practicing in front of us!!
I liked it very much. Lots of neat people all over the place, fantastic deals - I got everything and more on my shopping list for a lot less then I ever dreamed of - and everybody is into bikes! How cool is that?!?!
Next year I'm sure they'll have a much larger venue because it's sure to grow.

Hi All
I was at the VeloSwap in San Francisco Yesterday. In the South Hall I came across a vendor as you walked in near the front that had a two road frames a blue and a red sitting on their table which is called Interloc Impala made of Reynolds 853 tubing. Was anyone there that may have seen this? I don’t remember who the vendor was. Does anyone know who the vendor was? I may like to hook up with them on maybe getting a frame if anyone has anyone info on this vendor.
Thanks
