Can anyone suggest the best handlebars for mountain bikes?
I prefer downhill style bars but find them a bit wide at times especially on tight well wooded trails

For what kind of mountain bike? Cross Country?

I'm actually doing research for a project for school. Based on what you use---what are the best?
Everyone has a personal preference. That being said, I'm a big fan of the Easton Monkey Lite.
There are many great brands. Easton offers some of the beast carbon fiber bars that are the lightest and strongest around. Race Face makes some of the best two, they especially target freeride and downhill specific stuff. There are several other brands as well that are very good.
