crotch rub how to deal with it?
Being overweight does not help though that is going away slowly.
I started riding I needed a softer seat as the skinny specialized seat hurt so much I could not stand it. After two or so weeks I could use the specialized seat. Both of these always hurt my sit bones some though. I got a brooks professional team saddle and after a few days no more sore sit bones.
But all three have rubbed the ride side of my crotch/leg where they connect. It feels more like a sore pressure then a rub. I have to skew the saddle a little to the left to help. But I can’t go any farther or the left will rub.
I have really good bibs right now the assos proline though I have to wear then twice in a row I wash up before I put them on. (I need more bibs but am broke right now) but I am only riding 10 miles each way on my commute. I want to ride more but till I solve this problem I can’t.
Moving the saddle forward helped but I think it may be at the limit.

Do you use a good chamois lube? If not, try Chamois Butt'r. Use a nice dollop to lube your thighs and crotch, and perhaps put some on your pad and interior shorts where there is contact.
It sounds like your shorts and you will rub the saddle and create a chafing or soreness problem unless you go to a very narrow-nosed saddle. I went from Flite Ti to SLR to reduce thigh chafing and went from good comfort to great comfort, but it sounds like you might not have the same result.
One of the problems with larger, sofer saddles is more contact area. That sounds good until you realize it compresses more tissue, nerves and blood vessels and increases pain potential.

I do use the lube though sometimes I forget. I don't know if it is the shorts or what. It did it with regular pants and underware though too.
I plan on getting anotehr pair of shorts soon so I cna test it.

An old postman's remedy is to apply methylated spirits to the soft parts morning and night for a week or two - this will toughen the skin up, it's cheap, and you won't need sissy creams. My old grandad (who was a bicycle postman and telegraph boy) put me onto it -- I still use it if I've been off the bike for a while. The down sides are it stings a bit at first, and my wife won't come near me fo a week.

I found I had to skew my saddle a bit to the left. that took care of it.,
