Renn Disk Wheel Question
I have a Renn rear disk wheel and it is three years old. I notice at
speed, plus 35 kls/hr, it makes a weird sound? I get the impression
that it is swivelling or a bit loose? Is this a bearing or axle
problem, my imagination and can it be fixed?
Sincerely
Colin Campbell

dude, even though it's psychic wednesday, you're going to have to test
the bearing looseness theory for yourself. without removing the wheel
from the bike, check for side-to-side play at the rim.

I've never used them but watched the Tour of Spain time trial last year
and was quite surprised by the level of plasticky whirring noise
everyone's bike seemed to be making. It may just be normal for a disk
wheel.

The first time I was in a road race it passed through the same course as a
time trial. As I was passing one of the time trialists I was shocked by the
loud noises coming from the disk wheels. (No I wasn't that fast - it was a
NCNCF road race and a small club TT in the same area.)
