commuting/ errand bike
I'm looking for a new bike to commute with and pull my kids in a trailer. My price range is about $500. I'm looking at a Giant Trans Send DX, Trek 7000, Specialized Globe, and the Fuji Absolute 3. Any one have one of these? Any suggestions? Any input would really help. Thanks.

i looked at all of these, and taking into acct. your price range, i could only recommend the specialized; it's got the best bang for the buck at that low level (not being condescending, just being honest -- quality costs!).

LOW LEVEL! We cant all be neurologists and buy $5000 bikes.--just joking
yeah I know I'm limited with the $500 budget. I was/am seriously considering the Globe but on further investigation I found it has single wall rims where the others have double wall rims. Also I think the Trek 7000 and the Fuji are off my list. But now I'm looking at the Trek FX series. Also the Giant Trans Send comes with fenders and a rear rack.
