On the off chance that any of the Colorado contingent is still
checking in around here:

I'm going to be in Boulder in early June, and it looks like I'll have
a free week to kick around on the bike while I'm there. So here's the
concept: I want to hook a BOB trailer up to my hardtail and do a multi-
day, unsupported off-road trip, and I need ideas for a route. Given
the time of year, the real high country like the Divide Trail is
probably out, as it is likely to still be snowed in, so I'm thinking
something under 10,000 feet. The trip will very likely be solo, so I
won't be seeking out a lot of technical challenge, but I would like it
to be off-road, and backcountry, away from the crowd. Being close to
Boulder (Front Range, South Park, Sangre de Christo) would be a plus.
Ideal would be a 100-mile point-to-point run, but an out-and-back with
maybe a day or two at a base camp hitting some hard-to-reach
singletrack might be good too. The 10th Mountain Division huts are a
possibility, but I would rather rough-camp in a tent. Something up
around the Berthoud Pass / Fairplay area might fit the bill.

Any thoughts from the Coloradans?

No my region, but if you came further West there's always the Kokopelli
from GJ to Moab. That should be dry then.
Maybe someone on the Front Range will have a better/closer suggestion.

On a slight tangent, Harman Rocks should be riding nicely by then. I'd
be happy to show you around if you make it out this way (5 Hr. drive
from Boulder).
