Has anyone ever tried one of these?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

By "these" I mean an aluminum hardtail frame on eBay for $79. It's coming from Plano, TX which is not Asia. It might be made in Asia but at least I'm not buying it from an Asian seller in Asia. So has anyone ever tried something like this. The welds looks solid, it's made of aluminum, what could go wrong?
