Can you advise and inventor?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

I have just applied for a patent on a totally new kind of bike lock – yes there really is nothing like it! Trouble is I’m a bit new to the serious cycle scene. Sounds like its main feature is the ability to pull the hasp tight over whatever you're locking, to prevent someone from getting a lever or cutter around it.

One problem I see is the chain. Most security-minded cyclists are using U-bolt locks because chains are either too heavy or can be easily cut.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a long time since my bike was locked outside a classroom on a college campus.
