Just another amateur needing bike buying advice...
Hello to all

In the market for a new bike and was just wondering about what people's feelings were towards the bikes i've chosen. I've narrowed it down to about 3.

Bottecchia Flat bar 803: ($1100)
http://www.bottecchia.com.au/bikes/city-803m.html

Giant CRX 1: ($1395)
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-AU/bikes/road/1127/28934/

Cannondale Road Warrior 2: ($1500)
http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/08/cusa/model-8HR2.html

I don't know too much about the Bottecchia although it's the only bike which had its weight displayed on its website at about 11.1kgs.

Your insight would be much appreciated
Cheers

Bottecchia is a stately Italian marque that made a full line of fine bikes until going out of business around 1990. The brand is currently being revived by an Italian corporation that reportedly specs frames from Asia and assembles the bikes in Italy. They currently have wide distribution in Europe and the UK. In the USA Bottecchias are only available through Bottecchia-USA on eBay.

You might be getting a slightly better component mix with the Giant, but I think the Bottecchia frame looks the sharpest of the three. If the ride and fit match the looks I wouldn't hesitate, especially for the price.

Thanks for the info oldbobcat (http://member.php?u=15183). The bottecchia looks the best out of the 3 aesthetically in my opinion but I have not yet taken one out for a spin. I was also wondering if anyone could tell me which would be the lightest of the 3?

Cheers
