cyling with child in bike trailer region Queensland Australia July-August

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

We plan to tour 6 weeks with our child (2 years) in bike trailer in the Queensland region Australia. We will arrive by plane in Brisbane in early july, we leave mid august.

We would like to see some wildlife and go snorkling around Great Barrier Reef.

Someone ideas for quiet roads (not too hilly, not too busy car trafic and not too sandy because I will have +25kg on my bike and 30 kg from the child and trailer ).

What about wind directions? f.e. better to travel from south to north or otherwise
