I didn't find it amusing at all either.

I have a racing friend who less than 2 years ago was brought down on a cycle path by a wire strung across it between posts. Ended up in hospital and required a jaw and tooth reconstruction as a result. He is back but I don't see him compete so much any more. This guy has won so many Australian titles I can't count them all.

Of course I had my own incident, not with a wire but a near invisible boom gate. I lost my leg as a result.

I know in NYC some folks throw water on the road in some areas right before a really cold night and in the morning it is a sheet of black ice...many a tumble there in the middle of traffic...not too much fun.

I am also familiar with the same wire traps being used in the USA against MTBs, off road motorcyclists, ATV, and snowmobilers. Do a google search and you will see. As annoying or obnoxious as you might subjectively find another's hobby, setting death traps, or suggesting death traps, is way out of line.

This guy's really gotta take his head out of his arse.

Lost your leg?Yeah - accident in April '07 ended up in hospital with leg injuries/trauma, lotsa surgery and resulting complications meant a lower left leg amputation.
