Anybody out there got one? I think I'm ready to make the move to power, and I'm thinking about purchasing this unit. Any problems, concerns, rave reviews, etc. from users? Thanks.

I have five PT's one wireless, I do like it, I like PT's period the product is what serves me and my style of bikes the best, I know some would say I am crazy for having that many however....in the long run ...all the money I have ever spent on bikes ....the best was PT's.
I am getting one for the MB this spring.

Can a wireless PT head unit be used on a wired receiver? I have an old PT and would love a 2.4, but would like to use just one head unit (the 2.4, cos it tells the time!)
Does the 2.4 differ from the others in any other way apart from its wireless ability? I don't think so, but just wanted to check.
And how well do they work without the hubs ie just as cycle computers? I never could get my old black PT head unit to work reliably as a plain vanilla computer on my Ksyriums.
I have been riding a wireless PT for about 6 months now and love it. The hub and computer have been very reliable.
My favorite thing about the system is how easy it is to move from bike to bike. You can get a new computer mount for only $10 and with that and a wheel change you can move it anywhere you want. And even if you don't have another mount you can move one mount around by either buying plenty of zip ties or using the reuseable ties.

I initially had serious problems with drop-outs but Saris fixed it within a few days. No issues since then. Moving it between bikes is indeed a major advantage.
I have been using the wireless PT this year - experience has been excellent with no problems, certainly gets my recommendation.
Have had mine for 1 year and no problems.
I used one for about 6 months over the summer through the fall.
Pros: simple, none of the wiring issues. Otherwise it does what its supposed to like the other PT's i've used.
Cons: dropouts. although not "frequent", they were common enough where i'd be on the "find" function and riding for about 10 min's before it decided it wanted to "find" the hub and give me power readings. Not a biggee, but irritating enough that at times i found myself wishing for my old PT pro (wired). Also, dropouts occured during intervals at times as well which rarely if ever occured with my PT Pro.
I don't think the convenience of bike swap ease is worth the cost personally. A wiring job on a standard PT only takes about 5 min, but if that 5 min is worth it go ahead. I'll spend the extra on race entry fees:)
