What is a rear disc worth in terms of speed?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). I'm considering making the change to a rear disc. I'm wondering what has been others' experience with regard to increased speed, decreased speed, or no significant difference versus using a deep dish spoked wheel - everything else being equal.

FYI, I race exclusively in an indoor velodrome.

There was a similar thread to this on www.fixedgearfever.com (http://www.fixedgearfever.com) a little while ago. I think the general consensus was that it was worth about 0.1 to 0.2 sec over a flying 200m compared to standard 32 spoke wheels. So I guess it would be worth less compared to a deep-rimmed carbon wheel.

Like a lot of things in cycling (nutrition products, equipment etc.), I think people are too afraid NOT to use one, even though the difference cannot really be measured. (You could throw me into that example!)

That's a significant difference! A tenth or two in a sprint easily justifies the cost in my book. Gotta get me one...
