View Full Version : Bianchi S9 Matta
Looking at a Bianchi S9 Matta with the carbon seat stays and notice that the 2008 has replaced that with Ti?
From what I understand the reason for the carbon stays would be to stiffen the lateral movement that would result from applying pedal pressure. You don't want the rear triangle to flex but you don't want it to be so stiff that it transfers road shock to the seat.
So I'm thinking Bianchi has gone this route because they have resolved the lateral compromise that earlier all Ti's had so have abandoned the Carbon or that the Carbon was so much of a shock transfer that nobody liked it.
