5min power relative to FTP
I just had a look at the power profile thread. http://www.cyclingforums.com/t395490.html
With both FT and VO2max training (~10hrs per week) what percentage of ones' 5 min power should it be realistically possible to attain at FT in a six month period. I see in percentage terms some people are up to 85%. I realise that this will be determined somewhat by your aerobic capacity. Thanks, Toks

Can you rephrase the question - I can't work out what you're asking.

Can you rephrase the question - I can't work out what you're asking.Yeah sure. If I've understood it correctly in Ric's MAP test most competitive cyclists FT's fall in the 72-77% range. But when i compared this percentage to the power profile thread a lot of people were at a higher percentage (Dr Andy C and Dave for example). Now I realise that an MAP test is not the same as a straight 5 min effort. I'm asking what percentage of 5 min power should be achievable at FT. Sorry its very early here in cold North london:)

I'm just wondering if i could get my current 5min power from 360Watt to say 390watt how high should I be able to get my FT in percentage terms thats all. No worries, I think I've got it now. i read somewhere that if you really train your FT you should get it up to 90% of your vo2max
