What is up with you guys and your pretty avatars. I just don't do pretty avatars.Dude. Go with the avatar...I reckon its fine for what that's worth. At least you don't look gay like I do. But what's with the larger-than-life signatures? You're previous one, in bold, was like six lines long. And I couldn't understand a word of it. It was hard to find your post half the time...
Now you've gone for the big type again on your new one. And its equally esoteric. Its like a newsreader reading the news with a kaleidoscope tie. Its distracting.:p

You're right Bro...but if you're a recently divorced mid-forties rich investment banker....what's going to sound better if you're bragging to a chick in a bar?....That you've climbed Aconcagua?.....or Everest?
You can impress climbers by telling them you have climbed Ama Dablam. Climber chicks are lean and athletic. Better bring your A game. Plus it forces you to keep in shape, otherwise they kick your ass while running--or cycling for that matter.

We'd be spending all our vacations at altitude hanging off vertical cliffs by ropes. And I would be struggling. No doubt about that. Getting my heiny whipped by her on a bike would be like a dream in comparison.

Lim has confided to me the secret of post batting (which I'll pass on, even though you are a more senior player in the team). You go around the forum agreeing with everybody and repeating what they say. Add in an opinion of your own and you're at 8-9 posts a day without blinking. Its easier than your method of wise-cracking because you don't need to have a good sense of humor like you do.
I agree. You really should go around the forum repeating what people say. In my opinion...

The perfect altitude for a vacation is sea level. Hanging off the thatched roof bar...

I'll have to think about this one, this idea might merits more thoughts and more posts...I agree that we're in some agreement on this. I also agree that it provokes more thoughts. Unfortunately more posts will occur if more thoughts cause more agreement.

Agreed....I'm not so sure now, sometimes disagreements create a flurry of posts that lead to more thoughts and finally to some sort of agreement and a final post.

But if we have agreement without more thoughts...then there's nothing more for us to agree on. Your thoughts?

I agree with that thought...if we need more thoughts to agree on, then I submit that we three have the funniest damn avatars on the forum...Would you agree?
(Edie again has trumped me however...)

(Edie again has trumped me however...)I agree that we have the funniest darn avatars on the forum. And I also agree that Edie has trumped you again. I think Edie just has the lower half shot of your avatar.
[For later reference - NNS' avatar is a head shot of Santa drinking liquor, Edie's is a picture of the leg's of one of Santa's sexier elvettes, and Cranky has a picture of Santa riding a bike]

I call your avatar, and raise it by...whatever....for about five minutes. After I post one more time I can call it a night with an even 1200 posts.

I think you like this one...agreed?I agree. You have raised the stakes considerably. You, without a doubt, are the sexiest darn avatar on the forum.:)
Its enough to make a rooster stand up.:D
[NNS has found her own pair of Christmas legs. These look like Santa's supermodel daughter's legs, complete with a short and hiked red velvet one-piece dress with white fluffy hems]

I agree! :D
Though this isn't exactly the image I want to project over on the soapbox. OTOH...perhaps my opinions are considered more thoughtfully now..:p Of course, Santa drinking liquor might be considered more offensive to some people I know....(Baptists..shhh)
I picked the Santa one because it reminded me of the movie Christmas Vacation, after all of Clark Griswold's attempts at Christmas family fun have ended in disaster...and he's depressed.
He says, Dad, our family Christmas's were always so great...how did you do it??
Dad: Jack Daniel's!
Well, that's 1200. Lest I appear an internet addict, I should probably go dream about sugarplums or something. Or I might just keep posting...;)
buenos noches, muchacho

I'm not so sure now, sometimes disagreements create a flurry of posts that lead to more thoughts and finally to some sort of agreement and a final post.I disagree with you here. Agreeing was only recommended on the basis of providing an easy reponse before moving on. Disagreement is good for extended debate, so I'm in agreement with you on that point. But it rarely, if ever, ends in any agreement. At least on the internet it doesn't.
