Hi i have been commuting to work 13 miles each way through boston on some rough roads. I have been using a rigid mountain bike. I am interested in getting a road bike but am not sure if that would be the best bike to get for commuting exspecally in the winter time so i was thinking about mabey getting a cyclocross. What do you think would be the best allaround bike. Thank you for the help

many companies make hybrid/comfort bikes. they are a bit upright, but thats more comfy for most people, and they can be had with 700c wheels, and suspension forks. I bought my girlfriend a Trek 7100, and she can roll around pretty good. you definitely want suspension for rough roads, my road bike i almost stop for rail road crossings...tooo rough.
