It seems like alot of you run when you can't ride. Anyone with bad knees that can't run? I don't like the thought of an indoor trainer - what other exercise?

Well, since none of the ladies are answering, I'll tell you what I do. I have an eliptical machine that I use for cardio. It's made by NordicTrack. It has a good natural motion, although the stance is a bit wide. I also use free weights on a small bench, all while entertaining myself with the stupid-tube.

I don't ride every day. I ride every other day, with one day off a week where I don't do anything (except chores, which often end up being as cardio intensive as anything!)
My off days I run, walk, weights, or general calisthenics (goofy dancing, stairs with weights, sit ups, push ups, stretches, yoga)
I also have a very old stationary bike for really cruddy days. I do my own version of interval training on it:
60 pedals fairly good cadence
10 seconds of all out spinning like mad
60 pedals "rest" at the fastest I can go while still breathing "normally"
10 seconds all out mad spinning
I repeat this ten times to twelve times. Usually takes me a half hour with a quick warm up before and after. It's a good routine for me... burns good calories.
