I don't think so, It doesn't seem to include the power module...

Yes, here in the states the 600 is due out this month however the power kit is not due out until sometime in May most likely (according to Polar).
Looks very promising though.

http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=o2098Let all of us US tax payers know when we buy it and how much we spent. Are we going to get it off eBay like we did our CF Soloist?
I probably won't get the new CS600. Will get another ergomo BB in the future for my Kestrel Talon. The CF Soloist is just too expensive to lock up or ride sometimes (risk of theft or damage).
And I'll have to sell my old Polar kit on ebay. Starting at $180.
For 2:40hr 1 sec recording the CS600 is only worth $280 to me.
So I'm just gonna live with 4 old Polar kits.

I'm with you on that one, certainly not worth $700 if it has such significant planned obsolescence; they screwed the pooch on this one. I'm thinking another year or two may bring something new to market that includes altitude and doesn't break the bank. I was willing to live with some of the new CS600's quirks, but not being able to get the data for a single long ride is untenable.
Maybe I'll pick up an old power kit for my 720i and live with that for awhile.

I ordered mine today. It seems that Polar will sell thru distributors before they will go direct w/government/education sales first. Probably a good move on their part.
Back to the recording business....
The monitor will record in 1sec, 5 sec, 10 sec, increments. So, you can go back to 5 sceond recording like we're used to on the current ones and save the 1 second recording for sprint work outs or crits.

But the 5 second recording isn't a 5 second average, it's just a 5 second sample of the current value on the screen. It would have taken, what, two lines of code and about 4 bytes to make it a 5 second average, which would be much better than a 5 second sample, but Polar couldn't be bothered.
I have been order the CS600 with power meter a month ago and still wait, lets see …

Right. I'll take my (non-averaged) 5-sec recording interval for $300 instead of $700, any day. Other than ease-of-installation issues (supposedly), there's very little that the CS600 has effectively improved upon compared to the 720/725 series.
I guess I'd assumed that you caught all the previous threads that reviewed the technical details of the CS600. I had contacted Polar Finland about this issue when I was deciding what to do, and they verified unequivocally that the 5-second recording mode does not average the values, but merely takes whatever value happens to be recorded at the time. What the monitor actually shows on the bike is completely different, and is effectively not related to what gets recorded (I think it updates every 2 seconds, IIRC).
If they'd either increased the 1-second recording capacity (via very-cheap-these-days flash memory), or averaged the 5-second values, I could have digested the $700 price of entry. But, I refuse to buy a brand new product that is hobbled from the outset. The cost of memory these days makes any excuse on their part absolutely baseless.

Yep, I did. I was clarifying the recording issue for jmocallaghan.

Just something to think about,
If you have the unit set to 1sec recording, when the memory is almost full it will automatically switch to 5sec and you can get close to an hour more of recording time.

Interesting...so they were able to change the code so it would do something like that, but couldn't change it so the 5 sec record was a true average?
I guess everyone has different priorities....

It switches with 30min remaining to the next higher sample rate. And it stays there until you manually switch it.

All that...and they could've just put in more memory....priorities again, I guess
Ummm...if there's 30 minutes remaining at a 1s sample rate and it changes to a 5s sample rate, wouldn't there then be 150 minutes (2.5 hrs) of additional recording???

I got that off of their website (quick scan). The thing I did not like is it does not go back to a default time.
My weekday rides would be fine. But I ride 3-5 hours on Saturday. I would have to remember to switch back on Monday. Minor hassel.

And it stays there until you manually switch it.Nitpicking, but almost full should occur at 2H20min if you don't enable R-R. I've only managed a 2H05min ride yet though, so I haven't verified it, but the computer says 2H50min free memory when I start.

Totaly off had a record time of 10hours or so, I have no idea what it was loging but that was from their website. Then there could be multiple other combinations. From all on, to all off, the times varried.
I guess if I knew I was going to ride for about 2Hrs and it ended up takeing 2H11M. I would be pretty ticked off I lost my 1s times for no reason.
