How to become a Professional Cyclist?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). How do you become a Pro cyclist? and how many ways can you achieve this?

What should a Pros average speed be? How many miles should they be able to last? What kind of conditions should they be able to ride thru?

Start riding seriously. Sign up with a local team and begin racing. Get a coach to help you with your training programme. You will find out soon enough whether you have 'a chance' or not.

I just so him yesterday riding .he was goin up the hill and i was goin down :) it was very cold 22 F.( with ice and snow here and there ) :eek:
You will need to ride and race a lot to move up through the Categories, by accumulating Points & Experince, do all kind of races (TT- Road race- Crit's- Stage R. ....)
