Hi, My average training heart rate is ~ 120 ->150 bpm +/- (resting @ ~ 60 - 70 (I've recorded it as low as ~ 40!!)). This can go right up to 199bpm (recorded). I know everyone's HR is different but I feel that this is a bit high. I'm in fairly good shape 165lbs & 5ft09in and aged 35. No one else I've spoken with records these levels. I'd be interested to hear what opinion's are out there. Thanks.

Thanks.Heart rate training is so specific to the individual, but yes I do record between 180 to 200 during races (running races) normally 140 to 160 during training on the bikes.

I've read that you should always train off you lactate theshold. Everyones Hr is different. You having a high max heart rate does'nt mean your heart will explode.Do a 20min time trial see what you LT is, Then train @ 89-91% for aerobic work outs.. 199 is not that high for your age, My friend is your age and he has hit 205..
