Hi.

I've got a good offer for a Litespeed Siena frame. But I think it's a little bit heavy-weighted? Does anybody has experience with this frame?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings Core

Compaired to what?

At 1400g it is within 100g of many well known frames:

Trek 5500 OCLV USPS 2000 60 cm 1320 g
Giant TCR Team 1998 S (44 cm) 1320 g
Klein Quantum Race 2001 58 cm 1340 g
ROI Golden Arrow 2003 M 1350 g
Principia RSL 2001 56 cm 1356 g
Cannondale R900 CAAD3 1998 56 cm (M) 1362 g
Colnago C40 B-Stay 2002 62 cm 1400 g
Colnago Bititanio 1997 SIZE??? 1400 g
Principia RSL 2000 SIZE??? 1415 g
Cannondale CAAD3 Road 2000 58 cm 1452 g
Canyon SpeedMax 3 2002 56 cm 1468 g
LOOK KG 381i 2002 1509 g

So the question is what drives your weight requirements? Climbing bike? If you are looking for an all-arounder then the weight of this bike is just fine. If you are looking for a climber and your weight is not too high then there are other bikes (trek 5900, Litespeed Gishallo, Calfee...)

I'm looking for a good allround bike but I think for this price the frame could be a little bit more lightweighted! Then I found a nice Titanium frame on the Litespeed Homepage, which looks very well and I think Titanium has a lot of advantages: no oxidating as with alu, not such problems with scratches as with carbone...
(Don't forget the new Scott Team Issue C1 Carbone: 895 g
:D ). I think the Ghisallo frame is very nice but I will not be able to afford it even when I don't eat anything (and save the money therefor) for the next two years (Student:( ).

Thanks for your help!
