Correct position of foot on pedal?

I there...I have a strange question today. Is there a correct position of where your foot should be on a pedal?? Should my toes be more centered on the pedal or should my heal?

For me, the ball of the foot over the pedal axle. I use strapless toe clips on all my bikes to keep this position consistent.

I have clipless pedals, and if you ask, they will fit you for them (the bike shop). They put the ball of my foot in the center of the pedal axel. If you don't have clipless, i would suggest upgrading. If you have anymore questions, my email is snowbboots@yahoo.com. I hope this helped:)
