Any Issues with Using a Biopace ChainRing on an SS?
I was able to get an old raleigh upgraded with older 105 parts, and of course with biopace chain rings. So after doing a SS conversion, i'm now running on 42x16, reusing the smaller biopace chain ring.
The question is, I don't know if there are any issues running a SS using biopace rings... so far haven't encountered much problems... only had the chain skip when i was doing standing sprints, which I believe was due to too little tension on the chain and was able to fix it after increasing the chain tension.
So if any of you guys can help me on this, would be be greatly appreciated.

No problems yet. I have about 1000km on my dodgy steel SS with a 42t biopace. No problemms at all, just set the biggest ratio at the highest possible chain tension (eg. has to have a bit of give, not as tight as you can make it) you feel comfortable with and go for it.

I've been running a 40t Biopace fixed since November on my winter beater with no issues yet. In fact, it rides smoother and more quiet then my summer ride.
