Lean way forward, or find a really slippery surface, or both. Low gear will help. Sand/gravel on tarmac can be slippery, and low tire pressure will make it more so. There's a youtube video of some kid spinning his rear wheel if you want pointers.

Depends on circumstances. If you can lock up the front wheel with your current setup you won't really gain much during casual riding by going to discs. If you were riding in traffic and didn't see the obstacle until late then discs would probably only have caused an endo. If you were riding in rain, started braking in good time and still had a close call, then discs would probably have made things better.

nah im good... im doing novice DH when i could. it is "like" drifting but only on the corners.

I run a drifting league on bikes. It's fairly easy. You lean partially forward on the bike and you always use the rear brake as an e-brake. Use the rear brake for only a second just to initiate the rear tire slip. You don't need a huge slip angle right away but you will gain a good slip angle as long as you use your lowest gears and pedal your butt off. If you do this as we do it in the snow it can be hard to maintain if your a newbie to the sport if you are here's how to do it. You hold your back brake until the complete drift is done.

thanks everyone, now i just need to teach my friends..... i tried that on road as smooth as a basketball court (wet) and i almost hit a FJ toyota.....
