Zipp Clincher Rim For training and race?
Hi!

I have bought a Powertap SL 2.4 Wireless. Now I would assemble a wheel and I think to use a Zipp 360 (58mm) clincher Rim with 28 sapim laser spokes.

I will use this wheel in training (about 20000 km/year) and in race. I weight 60-62 kg.

Do you advise me this assemblage or the rim is too much delicate for the use that I want some to make?

Excuse me for my inaccurate English

Best Regards

Antonio from Italy.

I would think that you will be fine with this wheel - I have a 404 tub rim with an SL bult in and it has been raced hard for 2 years and held up pretty well - I am 70kg.

I think it is a good choice.

I think it is a good choice.I'd say you'll be fine. I have track equivalent Zipp rim on a PT hub and race the track at 80+kg.... (and so do a few of my mates, including a world class sprinter). It does have a extra laminate layer for strength though but no metal as there's no braking surface.
