Homemade Embrocation Recipes

I am interested in coming up with a homemade embrocation. I was wondering if any one had any recipes or if we could collectively come up with one using trial and error. Thank you

well whats normally in an embrocation

A base which could be constructed of Petroleum and paraffin. And then the active heat reactant which is usually cajuput or camphor or pepper or cinnamon and then the pore oppener which is usually camphor again and some menthol. I have a basic idea i was just wondering if anyone had any good combos.

Just don't go near a naked flame :)

Slightly OT but what is the sweet smelling stuff the Belgian kermese riders used to us or maybe still do? Its not your regular Sportsbalm etc.
Sixtus has a distinctive smell but I'm sure it wasn't that.

The Camphor is what gives it the sweet smeell it is used in oil form in aromatherapy sessions and also the cajuput oil has some good smelling quality
