Whatever happened to?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

I am not sure if this is the right area for this discussion but I am sure the mods will move it if it is in the wrong area.

Whatever happened to the criteriums that used to race around Perth streets during summer?

There used to be a few in Leederville, South Perth, Fremantle, etc but I can't remember ever seeing one last year. Then again with a government that thinks the World Frisbee Championships will bring in more money than Rally Australia and a air race is good value then why should we expect any support.
