What are good heart Rate Monitor? I just bought Polar CS 100 for 99 dollars at Performace bike shop. I am wondering if Cat Eye CC-HR200DW is better than Polar CS 100.

Buy them all. They're all good. Don't chew on the straps. Some don't work on dogs.

I have a timex HR monitor and 1/2 the time it works great. The problem is that the other 1/2 of the time I get home and my max HR is 240. That renders all info meaningless. I don't know if it is interference or what. Any ideas? Any HR monitors that are rock solid/no interference? Thanks

I get this with my Polar CS200 if I forget to wet the straps/contacts before I ride. In that case it takes a while (until I sweat enough) to make a good contact so the HR gets a reliable signal. In that period it displays all sorts of huge heart rates which screw up the average. Worth a try.

Help please!!!!

I bought one of the cheapey LIDL HRM's. It is a RUN TEC Model: 60330/KPPM 57

It seems to do everything I want for much less than the well advertised POLAR (etc) stuff.

Only snag is......the instructions came in Norwegian and Greek (ha!) neither of which I have the foggiest.

Ideally I need some white Night to scan and send as a personal message but if anybody knows of a web site that has English instructin this would be great. (I'web searches come up blank)

Thanks and kisses.

SeanYour CS100 will be fine, they're a nice simple unit. Other HRMs might have more features (like wireless speed/cadence), training zones etc...but the HRM function itself is fine with what you've got. So unless you want to explore the other features more, stick with what you've bought.

Hi 6Wobbler9

Any luck finding a manual. I'm in the same boat as yourself. I know I should have paid attention in Greek class!

Hi Orc

I got a manual from L&S 'After Sales service' 0870 442 8226. They emailed me a pds file. Quite helpful.

The HRM is OK but for my purposes it dissapointingly does not have a 'lap' function. I also run and liketo know my km splits over a long run. Anyway, I suppose you get what you pay for.

Good luck.

The CS 100 has the Polar WearLink transmitter. It is the most comfortable belt out there and you can change the battery yourself. Some of the other polar betls have to be sent back for battery change.
If your budget allows the Garmin 305 looks really cool. It is a GPS unit. You can save a ride and race against yourself the next day.
