g'day all.
I'm looking at a 2003 Scott Boulder for a weekend XC play bike and occasional touring. Anyone got horror stories - there seems to be very little on Scott bikes on the web, and no-one I know rides one.
thanks,
Pete

If you are intending to tour on a bike any distance, a straight bar bike may not be the answer. I'm not sure whether you have consulted a bike store about this, but a good one with some experience in these things would advise a drop bar bike.

Wasn't going to reply to this one but felt compelled due to previously owning a Scott Boulder. Although it was afew years ago, the Scott I had was super fine. My friend Drew and I (we both had the same bikes) hammered these poor machines and they stood up to everything comfortably.
Go for the Scott, no worries.
Have fun and enjoy the trails (even when touring),
