Why is Kona using Rock Shox instead of Fox for the 2007 Kula line?

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). Why is Kona using Rock Shox instead of Fox for the 2007 Kula line? Is there any particular reason for the change? Was it a cost issue or quality issue?

Im not sure you ever get quality issues with Fox but cost is definatly in there. I mean, the lowest model Fox Fork is nearly twice the amount of a Rock Shox Tora.

First: weight, The SID is quite a bit lighter than a Float.

Second: Quality, Fox doesn't make the forks like they use to (negative) and Rockshox are the forks they use to be (positive)
