College Cycling - Help Needed

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). I am also in the same boat as treker88...just a few years removed. I am a college soccer athlete and a three-year struggle with injury has left me unable to play any longer. My path has changed and I need some direction. I am a good cyclist - found that out through rehabbing my foot. I need as much information as possible about college teams - preferably in Michigan or out east that are relatively new programs - since I am inexperienced. However, I am hoping for a scholarship - do coaches give time trials to give people a chance?

unfortunately, i don't think any schools have varsity cycling teams. they are all clubs. so getting a scholarship for bike riding is pretty much impossible i think. too bad i know.

maybe i'm wrong about this, but im pretty suremarian college in indianapolis gives scholarships as well as Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, NC. I also think that midwestern state in texas gives scholarships. another great cycling school that doesn't give scholarship is Fort Lewis in Durango, CO
