inref: your post #121,
Are you implying that one's "age" is in direct proportion to their ability to reason or display moral outrage  If so, you might want to concede your defeat, in this discussion, now before you embarrass yourself beyond redemption  :)I believe I was referring to "maturity" and feminine impulses more than age. I just remember being in 6th grade and girls liked to write essays about curing cancer or world peace. And that was how to get an A. So I wrote them too, but I thought they were trite, shallow, and unrealistic. But that's also how to win a Miss America pageant. Would you like it better if it was Miss I Hate America? So how about it, David...here he coooomes, Miss I Hate Ameeeericaaaaaa.......:p

Um, I wasn't blaming Bill Clinton for anything  . You really like to read a lot into things, don't you? I was just reminded of a certain former president who used drugs and was a draft dodger. And everyone on the left said SO WHAT?! Military service in Vietnam doesn't mean a damn thing.
Until the very next election cycle. Please. Your outrage is outrageous.
As far as my unsubstantiated drug slur, that's called a joke. Jokes are made by people who aren't twisted by their own bitterness. Even davidmc can get a joke once it's explained to him  .My "outrage" is quite normal and understandable, that is for a real patriot.
Well, let's be more specific, shall we? Clinton did what, smoked some weed? BushBaby did what, spent years and years frying his brain (what little he was endowed with) with cocaine & alcohol.
Draft dodger? Horseshit. Because why...he went to college instead of Vietnam, which was no different than The Lyin' King or Phallus Cheney did? The difference is that Clinton didn't join the military just to pad his resume', only to desert his country when it was his turn to go.
Not really an equitable compare & contrast, would you say? :D
Sure, if we don't "get" your "jokes", we're all bitter. Actually, your diatribe didn't seem humorous at all.

Again...he's a millionaire...and you're not.
And that means exactly...what? More money makes you more OK? Or if you have more money than Joe Blow, you should be able to _____, and JB shouldn't?
It doesn't matter though how you came about that largess, does it?
Small minds beget smaller results.

So....using that analogy...we are to assume...that you are NOT a multi millionaire Ivy League graduate who has been able to attain the post of the most powerful man on the planet....right?
:D
I mean...he's a moron and did it......so...what's that make you?

Yeah textbook.....until Enron surfaced....and MCI....and the tech bubble burst...and then Tyco....and and and and and.....
yeah...he was superb alright. You're blaming that on Clinton? Laff Out Loud! Seriously Bill, you need to study, and turn off Faux "News" Channel. Should I prove to you here on the forum what Bush's and Kenny-Boy's connections to Enron were, or can I save you the embarrassment?
"tech bubble burst" had nothing to do with Clinton's policies. Nor did Tyco's or MCI's illegalities.
You were very enlightening.....until you made an ass of yourself.

Ivy League Graduate? You've GOT to be kidding? You know and I know that GWB got his fake diplomas because of his family's connections & money. Don't even attempt to say otherwise.
Not to mention GWB's many illegal/questionable transactions before and during his gub'nership in TX. I'll bet you never checked that out did you?
When you want to talk real Bill, I'll maybe respond with you. Otherwise from now on, you are a waste of my time.

Wow, Wurm is such a stud he doesn't even have to sit down.
Uh, yeah, price gouging like sucks and everything, especially on gas since we are imperialists and should just be taking the f-ing oil, but we don't, we go through this big, secret, complicated version of imperialism that gets us nothing. My house has tripled in value, however, so that's a good thing. Meanwhile, I could pay for all of it if the government didn't need half of my money to piss down the drain, so they could pretend to be doing something.
If you sold it today

What?
Keeping one's boot-heel, as it were, on the necks of the disinfranchised results in such behaviour. I guess you would be too "proud" to accept any kind of assistance, if it came to that  I think we should take away the child exemptions and mortgages tax deductions. What do you say to that   I await your well reasoned response.

His college career could be characterized as being average at best and every buisiness he ever got involved in either ended belly-up or shafted the taxpayers. One of his professors asked him how he had gotten into Yale and he said because of his daddy. Thats really something to be proud of

Why do you think his economic policy is disasterous for the people of my country?
His economic policies have actaully weakened the US economy - to the extent that the rest of the world is actually funding your economy.
The fact of the matter is that the twin problems of the biggest budget deficit in your country's history and your dwindling fiscal reserves have badly exposed your economy.
I live here, and my husband's family runs a successful small business, that pays for the health insurance of all its employees. Our business depends on other business (that is, we sell our services to businesses), and the economy is thriving. We can barely keep up with the demand from our customers. All of the employees were paid generous bonuses this year, as is the case every year. Money was invested in new equipment, furthering our vendors' business.
And I'm glad to hear that your business is doing well.
But USA Inc isn't doing too well : people can and willtrade all of the time.
The problem is being able to meet those bills with money.
Any business/economy can trade : money can spent quite easily.
Problems arise when it comes to having to pay for all that expenditure.
The expenditure that the USA incurs - creates a deficit.
That deficit is created because current income streams cannot macth those outgoings = debt.
This has been the case since 2001 when Bush managed to turn a federal surplus $200 billion in to a budget deficit $700 billion.
Our mutual funds are doing great, having survived the low period after 9-11. The stock market is back to where it was before the attacks. We have no personal debt except for our mortgage, in a country where home ownership is at an all-time high, especially since we have had the lowest interest rates in history. No one has to do jobs they hate, because illegal immigrants will do it for them.;)
... your level of personal debt (zero) is an exception.
The current level of personal debt (credit card debt/unsecured loans) is at an all time high in the USA.
Even secured debt ie secured on property, is in danger as the property values fall.
The only region in the US where house values have been maintained is Florida,
currently.
The economy has problems of course, the trade deficit being among them. But both parties in this country have bent over for the corporations that want to export our manufacturing jobs, instead of products. I have seen many people lose their jobs to China. This will continue with anyone we put in the White House, unless it's Pat Buchanan  . Which I am NOT suggesting!! Both parties want the Hispanic vote and will never do anything meaningful about illegal immigration. Each party will use terrorism, hurricanes, anything they can think of to gain power over the other. This is what they care about. As I have asked before, and never received an answer, which group of rich and powerful people cares about the ordinary citizen? NONE.
Agreed - no group of rich people are interested in the ordinary joe soap.

Don't get me wrong....I won't defend Bush as I think he's a moron too....but that's my right as an American....not yours as whatever you are.
[/QUOTE]
Your defending Bush right now, in case you hadn't realised it Bill.
And as for who has the right to criticise Bush - you don't determine that either.
he's a millionaire...and you're not.
You don't know my financial circumstances to comment.
