Not happy.
Why? Is it the advantage factor, or the safety factor?
Now I can only use them for a couple of TT's a year, or training. Pretty expensive training wheels!
Or, I try and sell them.

I thought the wheel makers would have ( could have ) pumped a bit of money into the UCI to get them to forget about it for a while.

To many collapsed wheels and cuts occured from certain wheels. Therefor there are now test every non standard wheel has to pas either spinergy old type didn't pass or the even didn't tried because they weren't selling them any more. Now you at least have the nicest training wheel sof the area, unless your neighbour has ada's or kinetick's somewhere.

Are you reffering to the wheels with the deep dish and yellow spokes? I sure hope not, or in same category :(

This was done years ago mainly for safety reasons.

The UCI enjoy banning stuff for some reason, they banned camelbaks, The us postal team were told that their bikes were illigal in the paris-rubix becouse they had suspention!, At the Giro d' Italia Pavel Tonkov's time trial bike was banned - two minutes before the start and they banned Y frames and Moultans for no real reason.
Imagenary quote from the UCI: HEY, LOOK its a bike which is not a plain old boring dimond-framed upright, lets BAN IT!

I think your safe memph.

RevX's have 8 carbon fibre spokes about 1 inch wide. I have a pair and it looks like they are banned.
