As I hear it the suspect lab values that plague Landis in stage 17 were his testosterone:epitestosterone ratio of roughly 11:1, nearly 3 times the limit of 4:1. But I also hear that his actual testosterone levels were near normal, while his epitestosterone levels were nearly zero. Does any one have a plausible explanation for this? It seems to me these lab values speak for themselves, and that he did not gain any advantage from a normal testosterone level. Why is none of this playing well in the mainstream media? (besides the fact that its a better story if he is guilty) Can someone shed some light on the whole testosterone vs epitestosterone thing. Thanks. :

That is a sign that he had recently come of steroids. Generally when episterone is that low it is due to Exogenous use of TEstosterone. If he were smart he would have used episterone before the test to get his levels correct. BBers do this alot if they are in a drug screened competition.
