Hi,
as part of the "setup 2" you have the option for setting the rate of display for the rolling average for (1)power, (2)speed, (3)cadence and (4)heart rate. Is there a recommendation for these setting (in particular power and speed) ?

Thanks & regards

I will let the specialists issueing some recommendations, but as far as I am concerned :
Speed and cadence doesn't really matter because these are constant anyway.

But I do play with the power rolling average on a regular basis. For example, when I go for long intervals on a flat course, I set it to 30sec. That is because I don't want read fluctuations. When I go for hill training (on my favorite course which is a 2k hill avg 9%), then I set it to 2 sec. That is because the grade changes very often and so I need to rapidly be aware of the actual power I pull to respect my plan.

I have watts set to 5 second display averaging. If the PT head had a pace arrow, I would consider a longer average. I had it set less, but that only told me that power reported was very variable.

If current power is higher than average, arrow up. This means average is increasing.

Of course, you could program the arrow up when you're below AP to tell the user to pick it up!

Interval Targets: I usually know what these are so I wouldn't need input.
