Good point. Overend is like Theunisse....can't give it away.
I'll give deadly Nedly one thing...at least he still gets a result. Theunisse is a sad bastard. That article a year or so ago on him in Cycle Sport was tragic. I know the bike can 'get hold' of people but he was just extreme.

Bostick apparently has a full time job. He is the master of effectively using his limited training time. Not a minute is wasted by all accounts.

Mate, you're named after a Dolphin and I'm an extinct dog. We're in no position to comment!

What!!! That means no more slow laps past the high school and local 'glass fronted' gym.:D
May not be a bad thing though. My town was listed in the Hun the other week as having the highest per capita percentage of fat chicks in Victoria:(

Indeed.....reinforces my theory why the coutnry kids were always sooo much stronger than us.
No Beach Rd, Chapel St, Lygon St, Brunswick St etc etc to spend a 3 hour training ride chasing chicks.

I really was too! ...damned older sister with a sea mammal fetish named me.
There used to be a hardware store in Vermont that was owned/run by W.Barrow ... endoverend kinda reminded me of him.

No Beach Rd, Chapel St, Lygon St, Brunswick St etc etc to spend a 3 hour training ride chasing chicks.yeah, but the city blokes could race 5 days a week if they wanted. Some of us country kiddies could only race once a week, in handicaps with only 8 entries, in the sleet, on dead roads.....
I have to say though, bloody good training roads down my way, but the weather can suck at times. Better than Ballarat though

In tonight's episode, the team take on the biggest challenge ever - is a car faster than a boat? The team also looks at the new road map that has been launched in England that shows every speed camera in the country. The trio also gives an evaluation of the new Mercedes S class - that features infra-red headlights, the new Alfa Romeo Brera and the Aston Martin DBR9. (From the UK, in English)

Exactly my point. Bike racing distilled to the bare essentials....suffering in awful conditions.

Ned could have given Tyler a run for his money on this one. And how about the real Ned (Overend), he's only about 50 years old and kicking some serious butt. I think he finished top 10 last week in the US Open Mens MTB CHamps also.

A quick burst of the calculator shows that to do 12.3km in 2hrs 40min, he would have been cycling at 4.1 km/hr. Yep, that's the signal to consider the two footed alternative. :D
What's the gradient of this hill - something significant, I suspect.

No, no, my dear, get the calculator out again...2 hrs 40 mins BEHIND Tyler, who did it in 52 odd minutes....so that would be 3hrs 32 mins in total....to go 12.3 km!....His PB shouldn't be too hard to beat next year! :D

Oops! :o
Ok, around 3.5 km/hr - are we sure he didn't walk it?
