nah, buses have their exhaust down low (why is that?), and trucks have theirs up high, so.......
Exhaust position varies depending on bus type - suburban buses seem to have theirs mounted low, interstate buses have exhausts mounted the same way semis do.
Either way, it is very naughty to play around buses and trucks in that manner. :p

Doubtful, but I think Expat's feeling a bit unloved and unappreciated. He did put a bit of work into resurrecting TAT.
Unfortunately, the damage was already done. Plus, compared to BF, this site is much more laid back and nobody modifies words in your posts over here.

The Australian Road Rules state that it is illegal to ride within 2m of the vehicle ahead. I make certain that I'm at least 2.1m behind all the time. :D

I thought he was grouse, but I alwasy wondered why he didn't win more titles despite regularly being a super-fast qualifier (feel free to correct that last bit if it's wrong)

Funny story in today's paper about why you should never fully rely on computers.
Some tit in Wales had the job of putting up a sign that read "Cyclists Dismount" in both English and Welsh. Silly bugger mistyped "cystitis" into the translation engine and got Welsh for "Bladder Inflammation" which was duly printed up. :confused::p

Well, cystitis can be a complication of a poorly fitted saddle in both males and females, so he was obviously considering the public health implications when he wrote up the sign. :rolleyes:

Couldn't finish a race. Could sprint 200m and that was about it. A mate of mine who was there reckoned he was an embarassment.
Other than maybe Pan-Am champs I don't think he ever won a title, Commonwealth, Worlds or Olympics. Saw him interviewed once by Mir Special McAvaney and seemed like a bit of a character. He was plenty fast like you said (I think he still has the flying 200m record) but I never thought he was tactically as good as most of the guys he raced, plus I don't think he was a 'killer' like Neiwand, Huck, Huebner, Nothsten, Hill, Fiedler etc

Couldn't finish a race. Could sprint 200m and that was about it. A mate of mine who was there reckoned he was an embarassment.

And yeah, despite all that, he still holds the fastest ever 200m. I've spoken to Kennedy and Rainsford, and heard Pate speak once, and they've all got that crazy side to them. Not 'zaney' crazy, but fearless crazy
