Preferences are distributed according to the numbers marked on the voting card, therefore, unless you put the mangy Liberal scum high up in your preferences, your vote will not be distributed any other way..yada yada
I just spent the morning reading about the electoral system. I guess we all love Proportional Representation prefential voting in the senate?
I thought we would have learnt after WW2 not to have proportional representation, but then they introduce it in 1949.

Its politics, its not like your gonna get shot over it for bringing it up. I dont see any dinner table either. But money and religion I can understand, Ive nearly landed myself in a spot of bother a few times over that one, nearly did it on saturday this weekend too.
Anyway I think Im gonna go for the vision stick as a light set. Yeah they arent great but they arent too heavy, pretty cheap, and Im pnly commuting with it, yeah it takes forever to charge but it aint gonna kill me.

Now, now, Jock! Remember when you were 19 and full of naive idealism? :)When I was 19 I was full of testosterone and had disposable income that allowed me to make full use of it. Legopener was so much cheaper in those days :D
Besides I was too busy writing music to be bothered with idealism ROFLMAO

That reminds of the time a bunch of us decided to bottle our own wine and one of the guys wanted to call it "Rene Pogel" - it took a while for us more innocent young ladies to twig to that one. :o

Most Seppos didn't bother to get out from in front of the telly last election and look where that got them, Kotter.
Next election, just vote Greens on both houses. Please. I'm sick of asylum seekers being treated like they're in Concentration Camps, sick of the way Howard sucks up Bushes arse, sick of us not signing Kyoto, sick of the Japs plundering our oceans, sick of our infrastructure being privatised.....
You get the picture.
Actually, I have no idea where that rant came from! Must be Monday.

Sorry...err.....Motobecanes and Gitanes are the worst bikes ever, and handlebar tape should be black unless you have oldschool vinyl tape like me which you can easily clean in which case get whatever colour you like.
ps: How do you clean cycling shorts? How do you pedal? Where is my arse?

So were they ever halfway decent bikes like say Schwinn, Malvern Star, etc and then the name got sold and they became crap bikes? Or did they start out as crap bikes and never improve?

on a completely 'irrelated' topic, I've been using the big rubber ball as a chair for a few weeks, and this has coincided with an improvement of my sore back/hip

Yup, forces you to adopt a proper posture. Mr Matagi uses one of those ergonomic chairs for the same reason.
