You're all missing some valuable fit information.
......(snip)........
Did that make sence or did I loose you all two paragrahs ago? :D Whaddayareckon? Think I'm on the right track or just full of poo?
Nah, all made sense, but the original question merely asked for the difference in distance for the two frames in question.
We need an expert framebuilder to discuss the nuances of fit. :p

sit back = glutes , yes !
The most underused muscle in the pedal stroke. Big arse = fast rider ! :p
Bloody hell! And here's me hoping cycling will keep my posterior trim. :(

Now we all know 'knee over pedal spindle' is a crock of shit, right? (Well, I hope we do. If not, Google 'Bontrager KOPS').
Did that make sence or did I loose you all two paragrahs ago? :D
Where am I meant to put my saddle then thylo? whereeee I ask.

Full Record 8-speed, spotless silver Regina chain, Mavic Mach 2 CD2 single rims, Vittoria Corsa CXs, Cinelli bars, stem & ribbon, San Marco Regal saddle.
Perfect.

Sounds like Ed, 531 and I all remember the same bike. About a 56cm if I remember right;)
One the classiest bits of gear I've ever seen. $7500....in 1992.

Seriously, I know nothing about bike fit. That's why I refer roadie customers to Kennedy or Beasley or Hogg and give 'em a small discount for doing so. I have firm ideas about handling and how a frame should ride, but fit is something that's very specialised and physiology based which I know bugger all about.
The usual scenario is you go get fitted; we talk about requirements, handling, and ride qualities, and temper the fit numbers with that info. It's more hollistic that way.

Nice. I think Kanye is supposed to be coming out and doing support for U2 in November same as he was gunna do for their cancelled shows.
Given your big props for him maybe I might actually turn up to the U2 show early enough to catch the support act.....
Do yourself a favour....

There's been nothing like those delta brakes....dangerously ineffective, but soooo beautiful and lusted after.I love those old 80's road bikes, inc the delta brakes. Naturally I'd never want to own them, but there is something warm and fuzzy about how ridiculous some of that 80's Campy was. Need I mention Euclid?

I must confess I will one of these days do a pearl white lugged roadie with full Chorus just for tootling around on.
After my Titanium obsession wears off and budget allows of course :)

There's been nothing like those delta brakes....dangerously ineffective, but soooo beautiful and lusted after.I rode a pro-am race at Warrnambool once where John Flood wore out a set of pads on his deltas in 50km in the pissing rain and had to change bikes. He was dragging his feet on the road to slow himself down. Hilarious. Especially coz there were 130 riders in the race.:D
An AIS rider told me a similar story about a race in Italy coming down a mountain.

Those Euclid levers look like toy ray guns.

It's the colour coded cables that make it just that extra bit special. :)

Gold!
I first laid hands on a set when Damian Grundy was running Bike house...he was trying to off-load Scott Steward's old Alan carbon [INSERT WARNING HERE!!] when he was a pro at Polli-Mobiexport. Could easily squeeze the levers (white hoods....of course) all the way to the bars for a negligble reduction in forward momentum. Scary.

Def Leppard rock. Saved me from severe road rage the other day when I came off the freeway straight into a 3 lane wide car park extending as far as the eye could see. Their version of "Everybody wants a piece of the action" has to be one of the best songs on the planet.
