I tried to enter Zoroastroanism, but ran out of boxes.
Don't they leave corpses out for the buzzards to eat or something?

Make sure you have a working light sabre ready in case the bureau comes around to validate your answers :)

Some people should not be encouraged to propagate their genetic material.

Ok, just to plunge Jock into the depths of despair, a serious question .....
How do I get an accurate seat tube ID on a lugged tube? Calipers don't work coz the split in the top of the tube means the very top is slightly distorted and the jaws aren't long enough to get down beyond the split.
Suggestions not involving expenditure on an expensive use once tool would be greatly appreciated.

Why not take it to a bike shop or local engineering firm? Both should have the tool.
My local helped me with this, even had the size for sale - 10 bucks i think...

1. try every seat post you have available in it and note their sizes?
Powers of deduction to certify the correct size.
2. Fill seat tube with gelatin/concrete on a wire, once set, pull it out and measure the barrel size.
3. Take to a bike shop
