The Specs on the Max that's still available is here -
http://www.ceeway.com/Max.htm
This frame has a Max top tube and the rest is Deda. You can see how the TT is capped off where it intersects the seat tube. It's pretty cool

Put the batt on a rack, no weight to worry about...
Getting a rack to fit most new bikes is the pain.
I rock a giant ocr 2 everywhere

Kotter, we're coming out of the winter "where the hell did the sun go" period, so you won't need much more than blinkies front and rear and maybe a 3-LED solid on the rear if you're riding before the sun gets up.
Save your bikkies for a nifty HID unit for next winter. There's a spec one at Northside Cyclery which is super simple and ultra bright. Hafta wait until tomorrow for details coz I can't remember its name and they don't have a website.
FWIW Niteflux are good except:
the mount for the light is difficult to use first time. Riders have lost the light into their spokes and then off into the bushes if they haven't made it mate properly.
there's no charge indicator on the charger, and absolute pain in the arse.
full charge from flat is 14hours for the 2200mAh version, what pain.
if you get go-go juice into the battery connector you can say goodbye to reliable lighting and charging. Very bad karma.

I was more thinking commuting from work and uni at night. (some lectures run to 9, work will probably be after 10)

Well thats a pain in the arse, who the hell doesnt build a charge complete feature into a charger these days? 14hrs, an iPod probably uses more power than a light and it only takes 4hrs to charge complete.
Whats go-go juice? Water?

I recall my trips to and from Newcastle Uni after dark (with no lights at all) being particularly safe because everywhere has abundant street lighting. Having sed that, there's a few more potholes on some of my old routes than I remember!
HID are coming down in price faster than a bride's knickers on wedding night. Ther unit I'll post tomorrow is the ducks guts and almost competes with the inferior NiteFlux on price.
Go-go juice is indeed water... plus the obligatory sugars and salts. Think Staminade, Powerade (blech), Gatorade (blech, blech, bleeeeeeaaarrrgh), etc.

From memory climbo bought some HID contraption a while back. It was expensive but at least he might be able to give you feel for how good (or not) they are.

There's a few Aussies in the Tou of Germany. I'll have a crack at making some predictions.
Trent Lowe to climb with the big hitters - top 10 overall.
Roberts, Brown or Renshaw to win a stage.
First mention of Nick Gates in any written report to be followed by the letters 'DNF':p

Did anyone see a show called Penn & Teller: BS last night? Too funny.
Mystery Train on SBS right now. Part of their Jim Jarmusch festival. Good film.

Speaking of predictions....what happened to Thunder? His insight into Le Tour would have been good reading.

Very conspicuous by his absence. I think the controversy may have been too much for him and probably caused his head to explode.

Tour of Gippsland kicked off today too. Sean Finning got the win. A few of the usual suspects in the top 10. Rob McLachlan still riding like a monster...& Milostic

Crikey. Whats her T/E ratio?
Well it wasnt quite the best day of my entire life, but I was still buzzing from my fave gig of the year. Ah don't ya love a good pissed post? When the first couple of beers were straight after work watching whales swim past at Coogee, then dinner followed by a night out, it's not that hard to reach 13 beers. I spose I did drink ride though. My bad.
Oh no, I just realised I didn't even spell their name right last night. They'd be The Bellrays  In Melbourne the next coupla nights. Corner hotel and Hifi bar. You guitarists'd like their shredder. DO IT.
