Majority heavy XC use.
Need to be light,strong, high bling factor and <1000Light, strong, cheap...pick two. :rolleyes:
I think the wickedest XC wheels you could possibly build are....
Soul-Kozak hubs, DT Supercomp spokes x3, Stans ZTR Olympic rims. 1300g, 1300 bucks.
Good bang for buck? Same wheels except with Hope Pro II hubs.
Better bang for buck? Hope Pro II hubs, DT comp, Mavic X717. 500 bucks from CRC.
There's heaps of options.
Oh, I can get Industry Nine wheels too now. Haven't got a price list yet, but I think they'd be way over your budget.

Yep - that's what I'm thinking of doing too. One of my mates has made an absolute belter. Fitted it with a cassette even to get diferent ratios!
