TG4 : Tour De France coverage

I've been dipping in and out of the TG4 coverage : the footage is superb and the duration of the coverage is live and is longer than what Eurosport give.

I'm in Boston for a few weeks and watching it on demand on OLN, you can watch 10 minute highlight packages whenever you like, very handy but not much detail. The American commentators are a bit strange too, although not as bad as the ones for the World Cup - they kept going on about Jesses Owens triumph in Berlin 36 during the World Cup final!??!

The cycling is good here: I was tempted to bring my bike and I'm sorry I didn't but I rented a battered MTB and pedalled around Cap Cod - drivers are very courteous, surfaces good but no hard shoulders.

Get one of your inlaws or a friend to tape TG4.
The coverage is superb : live feed from France from well before Eurosport starts their coverage and it's all as Gaeilge as well.

Did 110 miles yesterday with the Blazing Saddles in Tipp - for their training camp yesterday.
Not a breath of air. Marvellous conditions.

I'm watching the coverage religiously. It helps i'm on summer holidays from college! I find it excellent, but i do regret not listening more in Irish class, as it can be a bit annoying not being able to follow the conversation fully. The highlights package before each stage, and late at night, are in English, and i find them great also. Well done TG4.
