HELP! Truvativ Isoflow crank came off
I've had my bike 2 days now and the "non-ring" side of my Isoflow crank came off. It looked easy enough to put back on but it won't slip on all the way so that I can insert the bolt and tighten it down. Is there a trick? Please let me know. Thanks, Greg

HELP! Truvativ Isoflow crank came off
Update! I took my bike into the LBS today. Their thought was that originally the cranks weren't tightened tight enough. I couldn't get the crank back on because I was afraid of messing it up. My LBS said that it takes a bit of effort to get them back on and that when they are tightened basically they kind of torque themselves down (the more they are tightened the less likely they are too loosen in the future). Hopefully he's right. I'm going to pick up my bike tomorrow and ride it tomorrow night. I'll be checking the cranks more often though. Any other advice? Thanks, Greg

I'd give a few whacks with a rubber mallet and then reef the bolt down tight.

HELP! Truvativ Isoflow crank came off
I had the same issue with my new bike.. but mine was Truvativ X-flow (ithink?)
Specialized hardrock sport Disc... took it to shop they tightend it..
did 40km then came loose again.
Went back said i want a new arm. (mine was not 100% squre in mount hole NOW) they did it up once more for a try.
Then did 110km only to have it come loose again.
They have since replaced it and no longer have problems with it...
Also changed bolts.

Any problems you have with a new bike for the first 90 days- take it right to the shop. A little grease on the bb and a little pushing, then put the bolt back in and tighten it down. Gotta make sure the splines are lined up, of course.

Yep, also make sure there's no metal filings or other rubbish anywhere around the splines etc.
