set up my scalpel

just got a scalpel 1000. gonna get into some races. if you have a scalpel (or maybe you just know a lot about it) i need some tips on how to set it up for racing, what to expect from it, etc. you can tell it's my first XC bike. thanks

Scalpels are great! I have the older spec Scalpel with a simple Float L shock.. a new frame with the Float RP3 would be fantastic (the only complaint I have with mine is that it bobs a bit under serious pedalling, something the RP3 shock would take care of)

Take a look at the Cannondale forum over at www.mtbr.com, there are a lot of Scalpel riders there, and searching through old posts will bring up a lot of info about how to dial in the shocks and stuff.
