Oh, I document (comment) my code. Otherwise, if I return to it after awhile, I'm scratching my head thinking, "What the hell is going on here?" It's documenting it for people other than me to be able to use it that's the hard part. Why can't everybody learn to speak C++? Why do I have to translate to English?LOL, they just need to use it the way I had it in MY head. I tell them how it works and they don't get it, and I show them how to do it and ask them "What was so hard about that?"

Then you should say, "Now that you understand how to use it, how about writing a user guide for the next victim?":D

The almost retired, humbled "Sly"....Aha! Sly Stallone returns! There should be a list of trivia questions for this thread. That definitely belongs on the list -- "Who's Sly? :D

Ahh! Idyllic musings. Starbucks with a caffe latte and a slice of caramel pound cake. A sweet respite from 2x20, 4x5 and 6x2.
Give me a cinnamon scone to follow on please. Ah, that's better!;)

And yeap, I remember Sly - that image of Rocky as I recall, floating around RD's mind. Now that was a while ago!

So is this the nutrition that we use to work on the power to weight ratio? :)

Scones, pound cake, doughnuts?

Man!!!!......I've got it all wrong then. :)

Scones, pound cake, doughnuts?

Man!!!!......I've got it all wrong then. :)I think as cyclists burning off 600-1000 plus calories per workout, we can be forgiven for chomping on the occasional slice of pound cake.

Having said this, I've noticed what I'm doing is balancing the goodies intake with the amount of training I do. As a consequence I'm not really losing any weight, and my body fat is absolutely static. In fact I've put on a little weight of late.

I'll tell you truthfully, this morning I weighed in at 72.5 Kilos and my body fat was 20.5% - bad, very bad!:( So what am I going to do about it?
Starting this morning, I shall be allowing myself a slice of pound cake and a cinnamon scone on Fridays only. No chocolate either.

I will publish the figures so that it can be seen what effect a bit of control has. And believe me this is far harder to stick to than 20 minute intervals.

Watch this space! TYSONSo by next year at >10% BF and working to increase power I bet you can really trash talk while climbing past the "smoker". Of course that is if you also hone your trash talking skills.

So lets review the goals:
1. Increase Power
2. Lean down below 10% (my goal for you :D)
3. Hone your trash talking skills

anymore to add to the list?

It's hard to believe, but this is an absolutely true statement. I can't believe how hard it is for me to get my weight down where I want it.:confused:It definately can be frustrating.
I am currently working on this issue as my personal goal and even as I type this the hunger pangs are driving me nuts.

My wife's turn to cook tonight so we are having baked salmon and steamed squash and I promise that I will be even more hungry after I eat it. I will get a cup of low fat yogurt before bed that may help alleviate the frustration and will be hoping that I can sleep through the night without having to get up and get some skim milk.

So I am suffering with the rest of you.

It definately can be frustrating. How dumb is this picture? It's easier for me to ride at my limit for an hour or two than it is to avoid eating. I can't believe it! I think I am going to find a food that I can't stand and buy nothing but that for a month or two.;)

If I were you RD, I wouldn't avoid eating because if you do, you'll die - and that's a fact.:D Just try to control what you eat.;)

However one puts it, it adds up to simply not doing something. It takes absolutely no energy or intelligence to not do something, only a little discipline. Grrrr!

This actually alludes to the true difficulty. Even when testing FTP you know that in 60 minutes you can rest; however, dieting is relentless. Those sugar cravings are constantly calling your name! There are no simple watts to live by, just thousands of tempting calories everywhere you turn and thousands of rationalizations at to why you deserve them. Yes, I too undertand your pain!
