HI,
what do you think about stronglight chain rings.
I was considering to try them with my Dura cranks.
Any ideas?
Hi
I have a Stronglight chainring and crank on the Tandem. I do not think the chainrigns will work on a Dura Ace crank. There might be different models. The tandem chainring that we use is exellent.

Spino:
I have used 55 and 56 tooth Stronglight rings for a while now on Dura Ace cranks. They work well, and are reasonably priced.
I have a stronglight 55 on my tt bike (ultegra, but it will work with DA, too). its not as smooth as a DA chainring since it doesn't have the shift plates that shimano chainrings have to facilitate shifting. on my tt bike its not a problem since I hardly ever get out of the 55, but I don't think I'd want one on my road bike where I do a lot of front shifting. also, the stronglight is stamped rather than machined like the shimano rings...you can see and feel the quality difference.
the reason I have the stronglight is because it was free vs $90 or so for a shimano ring. I am mainly just trying it out. if I decide I really need a 55, I'll probably spend the money for a shimano.
